| Skip block 19IntroductionThis portal - eLearning@LBIS - is an online educational experiment which I hope will take you... back to the future! E-Learning and e-Assessment will certainly take on more and more importance in the not-too-distant future. As it is, the IBO has already started eAssessment trials for its exams... So what are we waiting for? If you are ready, let's embark on a great educational adventure! As a student, you can enroll in a course and try out any online exercises you find there. As a colleague, please sign up and I will assign you as a teacher or course creator so that you can have a lot of fun creating new courses for your students.
As a teacher/course creator, you get started by clicking on the Turn Editing On button on the top right of your page. Please don't hesitate to try all the options and to experiment as much as you can! Students can then enrol in your course, follow online lessons, check the syllabus, view past papers, and do online exercises for which they receive immediate grades! They may even copy and paste an essay they have typed in Word which you can then view at any time and mark online! Better still, they can upload their essay assignments for you to grade online. You can also post messages and news announcements, add resources such as a web page, a wiki, a blog, a document file, weblinks, etc. You can be as creative as you want with, and for, your students. So... May the Force be with You!!
